Supervisors OK salary pay plan
In a meeting noteworthy for its brevity Tuesday, the Jasper County Board of Supervisors approved salary pay plans for next fiscal year prepared by Human Resources Director Dennis Simon.
The salary pay plans for the county’s department heads, non-department heads, and hourly non-bargaining employees will include 1.5 percent pay increases for those employees increasing in pay steps. The increases will be effective July 1, and will be in effect for the next fiscal year only.
In other action Tuesday, the supervisors approved contracts with REEP of Baxter for installation of windows in the courthouse basement and in the clock tower; and with Randy’s Construction for replacement of a door in the Koppin Building, housing the Jasper County Attorney’s office.
The cost to replace the courthouse windows will not exceed $10,510; the cost for the clock tower windows will be $6,229; and the cost for the Koppin Building door is not to exceed $3,700.
