Iowa Hospice is looking for caring, supportive and energetic individuals to become volunteers by donating their time, effort and talent to hospice patients and families.

There are several ways volunteers make a difference, including patient care, bereavement support and office/staff support. Volunteer activities are flexible, and involvement can be altered to fit the volunteer’s schedule. If you are interested in becoming an Iowa Hospice volunteer, contact Brenda Vargas, volunteer coordinator, at (641) 753-6203.

Iowa Hospice was founded in 2005 and provides service to 90 counties throughout Iowa. Through the services provided by Iowa Hospice, patients and families receive physical, social, emotional and spiritual support. Iowa Hospice is available to anyone with any life limiting illness, regardless of their ability to pay. Services out of the Marshalltown office reach patients and families in Hardin, Story, Marshall, Tama, Jasper and Poweshiek counties. For more information, visit www.iowa-hospice.com or call (800) HOSPICE.
