Eight plead guilty to heroin conspiracy
CEDAR RAPIDS (AP) — Federal prosecutors say eight men have pleaded guilty to selling heroin in Cedar Rapids.
Prosecutors identified seven of them as 23-year-old Andre Gladney, Chicago; 22-year-old Antonio Green, Cedar Rapids; 25-year-old Terrance Miller, from North Liberty; 23-year-old Raymond Gladney, Cedar Rapids; 21-year-old Centrel Brewer, Chicago; 53-year-old Lynn Johnstone, Cedar Rapids; and 30-year-old Terell Armstead, North Liberty.
All were convicted of conspiracy to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school and all had previously been convicted of a felony drug offense.
Another man, 31-year-old Lorzelle Turner, from Chicago, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin within 1,000 feet of a playground after having previously been convicted of a felony drug offense.
Sentencing dates have not been set.
